In short, yes. You will want to have a Will in addition to your Living Trust. The two main reasons are:
If you have minor children, you should name a guardian. A Will is necessary for this.
While the goal is always to transfer all of your assets into your Living Trust during your lifetime, this doesn’t always happen. What you don’t want is for the assets you didn’t transfer to end up being distributed against your wishes. What we recommend, and what is included in our Living Trust Plan, is a “pourover” will, which transfers all your remaining assets into your Trust at the time of death. This ensures that even if you didn’t transfer everything during your lifetime, it will still be managed and distributed according to your wishes after your death.
